Sprouts Farmers Market was looking for help growing their Shopper Marketing offering. The health-focused grocer needed an agency partner to take their practice to the next level while significantly growing revenue, driving trips, building baskets and maximizing vendor participation.
Solution
After winning the Shopper Marketing RFP, Mars United Commerce helped to optimize and evolve Sprouts’ Shopper Marketing offering over a full year of Retained Services. We:
- Worked with Sprouts to understand their business objectives and goals.
- Established a strategy-first approach to everything we do: macro trends, shopper
behavior, journey mapping, customer profiles. - Built a full-year thought leadership calendar with implications and considerations for Sprouts.
- Created an annual calendar of events, leveraging shopper mindsets and need states to increase engagement and purchase.
- Made sure that campaign ideation and concept development was rooted in insights and leveraged strategic ways in.
- Built vendor engagement sell decks that included storytelling and “why buy” messaging, combined with compelling packages.
- Provide post-campaign reporting with key learnings and measurement for all activity.
Progress To Date
In 2023, Sprouts was able to increase their in-market programs, over-achieve their planned forecast, and grow their revenue by 170% vs. 2022.
Sprouts renewed their full-year Shopper Marketing retainer with Mars United Commerce in 2024, increased the scope by 46% based on their success and increasing needs.
