The designation reflects the company’s ongoing efforts to build a deeply collaborative relationship for its clients.
Mars UnitedSM Commerce is proud to announce that it has earned Advanced Partner status from Amazon Ads. The achievement reflects the company’s dedicated efforts to build a best-in-class global relationship that will drive stronger business results for clients through one of the world’s most important advertising platforms and retailers.
The Advanced Partner designation recognizes companies that deliver growth for their advertiser clients through their expertise with Amazon Ads products like Sponsored Ads and Amazon DSP. With this high level of activity, “Advanced Partners have demonstrated product expertise, engagement with Amazon Ads, and [have] delivered growth for advertisers over time,” according to Amazon.
Gaining Advanced Partner status is the culmination of Mars United’s yearslong initiative to develop a collaborative relationship with Amazon Ads that would unlock unique business-building opportunities for clients. The elevated status gives Mars United access to training on Amazon Ads product releases, opportunities to participate in select beta programs, and account management services. Those perks add to the benefits Mars United had already gained by achieving Verified Partner status, which opened the door to co-marketing, event and sponsorship opportunities.
“Amazon is one of the most critical partnerships in all of commerce marketing. We’re delighted to see our efforts recognized through designations like this one,” said Ethan Goodman, EVP-Digital Commerce at Mars United. “We’re excited about the additional opportunities being an Advanced Partner will bring to our clients.”
To strengthen its existing relationship in the past year, Mars United has intensified collaborative activity, holding biweekly meetings with Amazon Ads representatives to stay informed about new opportunities and quarterly business reviews to update Amazon about its own initiatives. These efforts have led to increased opportunities for testing and leveraging new tools and media options such as Amazon Marketing Cloud and Connected TV. Globally, Mars United is on track to manage more than $100 million in client activation through Amazon Ads over the next 12 months.
“Building a network of trusted partners is a critical aspect of our success, and Mars United has certainly become one,” said Heather Liu, Senior Partner Development Manager at Amazon Ads. “The relationship we’ve established is helping their clients — our advertisers — drive even greater value through Amazon Ads products.”
Mars United now boasts a dedicated, full-service Amazon team of more than 20 account managers, media strategists, content creators, DSP and search specialists, analysts, designers, and copywriters capable of supporting the end-to-end needs of clients. The team is trained to provide 34 different client services that span 12 Amazon products. Members have gained foundational certification for six Amazon Ads topics: Retail, Campaign Planning, Foundations, Sponsored Ads, DSP, and Video Ads.
Members have also earned Advanced Retail Certification, which validates their proficiency in Amazon retail programs across such strategic advertising topics as product detail page optimization, brand discoverability, international marketplace expansion, customer loyalty-driving promotions, and insights/analytics-based planning. Elsewhere, the team has been recognized as an Amazon Marketing Cloud services provider, and recently had its analytics/development services validated by Amazon Ads.
The partnership with Amazon Ads also includes API integration with Marilyn®, Mars United’s proprietary commerce technology marketing platform, which allows clients to view their Amazon media performance alongside all other commerce marketing activity and gain a clearer vision of the overall business impact.
“Advertising on Amazon can have a significant effect on success across the entire commerce marketing landscape,” said Goodman. “We’re committed to doing whatever it takes for our clients to win on this critical platform. Gaining Advanced Partner status is just the latest example of our efforts.”
